Dear Parents/Guardians, (السلام علیکم)

Subject: BASS O LEVEL Promotion Policy – Classes OL I – Snr OL I.

1. Promotion Criteria. It is to inform our worthy parents that BASS follows a very realistic and rational approach to deal with academic matters. To this end, BASS has reviewed its promotion policy, passing criteria and other related BASS policy decisions are appended below:-

1. Minimum “D” grade (50% and above) in all subjects.
2. Conditionally Promoted (Only Class OL I to VII).

• 49% and below in 1 core subject (English, Science, Math & Urdu).
• 49% and below in 1 core subject (English, Science, Math & Urdu) and 1 non-core subject (S.Studies/P.Studies, Computer and Islamiyat).
• 49% and below in 2 non-core subjects (S.Studies/P.Studies, Computer and Islamiyat)

1. Detention.

• Failing in 2 core subjects (English, Science, and Math & Urdu) will lead to detention in the same class.
• Any conditionally promoted student not showing the desired improvement in new class will not be considered for conditional promotion [(clause b(1) (2) and (3) above] second time and detained in the same class.

1. Class OL VIII & Snr OL I:

• No conditional promotion will be allowed in class OL VIII & Snr OL I and student would repeat the same class or may join any other Matric stream school.
• Any student failing in 1 or more subjects in class OL VIII & Snr OL I will not be promoted to the next class.
• Any students having attendance below 80% without any genuine reason will not be promoted to the next class.

1. SLC. Failing 2^nd time in the same class/not showing any academic improvement will lead to issuance of School Leaving Certificate (SLC).
